Fluid Exhibition
Creative catering for artist Violeta Maya’s solo exhibition Precisely because pink makes me uncomfortable. The menu was designed as an extension of the exhibited artwork creating a multi-sensory experience that welcomed and nurtured visitors beyond the eyes.
Violeta’s paintings and sculptures are inspired by feminity, calm and the transformation and the fluidity of water and so, I aimed to carry these elements through the eating experience. The silky table cloth flowed to a light breeze, there was a mountain of purple-toned chips honoring the exhibition name and even Violeta herself hand-painted cookies for guests to take home as a souvenir of the experience.
